At Good & Gold, our aim is to move through our onboarding processes as quickly as possible, but we often find ourselves blocked or slowed down by factors beyond our control. Our hope with this resource is to bring your attention to common issues we encounter, so that you can work proactively to clear the path for us to move forward with our work as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Below, you’ll find a list of common blockers for each of our services, as well as instructions for solving them. We ask that your team review this list and ensure that all of these potential issues are resolved on your end before our kickoff call. Please let us know if you have any questions!
General

Issue: Acceptable creative assets for marketing campaigns are not available or accessible.
Solution: Gather and organize your creative assets so that they are ready to hand off to our team. Once received, we will optimize them for each marketing channel we manage!

Issue: Feedback on presentations of strategy and/or creative is delayed. (Our timelines assume approval or actionable feedback on all deliverables within 2-3 business days.)
Solution: We highly recommend creating a plan in advance for reviewing our deliverables and gathering feedback from internal stakeholders. Define who should review what, and make sure they know what the expectations are around timelines.
Paid Media

Issue: Facebook Business Account and/or Ad Account is not yet set up.
Solution: Here are instructions for creating those accounts and providing access for Good & Gold.

Issue: Facebook Business Account or Ads Manager is not properly linked or owned by the client. (This issue can take up to a few weeks to resolve, so we recommend getting started right away, and letting us know if you run into any trouble.)

Solution(s):
Gather the required information for admin dispute submission.
Visit the Facebook Business Help Center and initiate a chat with support. (You’ll need to be logged into a Business Account.)
Explain the issue to the representative, who will then start an email thread for you to submit your admin dispute information.
Submit your information for evaluation via PDF.

Issue: Outdated or complex product organization/management that makes it difficult to set up a product catalog or link ads to onsite products. (This affects Google Shopping, dynamic Facebook ads, etc.)
Solution: If this is the case, Good & Gold will need to work with your developer to receive a feed that will send the product information to the necessary platforms.
Email Marketing

Issue: Lack of clarity or knowledge around what automated emails are being sent from which platforms. (Examples: abandoned cart emails, order notifications, rewards notifications, etc.)
Solution: Please review your email systems in advance in order to provide us with a clear overview of current email efforts within our discovery phase.
SEO

Issue: Website is a complex custom build or managed by an outside developer.
Solution: In cases where our on-page SEO updates will need to be implemented by someone other than Good & Gold, we’ll need to be introduced to that individual/company in order to develop a system for communicating updates.
Website Design/Development

Issue: Website domain registrar, DNS, or hosting provider and credentials are unclear or inaccessible.
Solution: Before we begin our project, consult with your internal team to determine what current systems are in place for the listed platforms and providers
