    Policy: Parental Leave

    Full-Time Employees

    What the law requires

As a company with fewer than 50 employees, Good & Gold is exempt from federal regulations governing the Family & Medical Leave Act. That said, we honor the importance of family and wish to support our employees as they, in turn, support their families.

    Our Policy

Full-time (40 hr/week) exempt employees, who have been employed for at least one year, are eligible for 4 weeks of paid leave at 60% of their salary plus full medical benefits following the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.

The benefit is available to primary and secondary caregivers, regardless of gender.

Leave may extend up to 12 weeks, with the remaining 8 weeks unpaid but with full medical benefits.

What is required to prepare for taking Parental Leave?

Employees must inform managers at least 60 days in advance of the expected start of the leave by completing the Parental Leave Checklist (below).

    • The completion of the checklist will be considered the submission of a claim for this benefit.
    • If you take leave, you are still responsible for handing off all of your projects per the Parental Leave checklist, to the extent possible, prior to the start of your leave.

    5. What tasks and projects will be affected by your departure?
    6. How in touch do you plan on staying while on leave?
